Mike White’s Emmy-winning series The White Lotus is releasing its third season on February 16, but the show has already been confirmed for season four. In a press release from HBO, the network confirmed they would be producing more episodes of the massively popular show.
There’s not much info yet about where season four will be set or who is starring in the season. Each season of the satirical show focuses on a different location for a “White Lotus” resort, following different guests and employees who are thrown together, grappling with their personal drama.
The series is often unpacking socio-economic issues, and other similarly heavy subjects, like racism and misogyny, through humorous story-telling. In the first two seasons, the show was also something of a thriller, with murder being the inciting incident bringing various characters together.
With a rotating location, there’s usually a rotating cast, though some characters have moved from one season to another. Jennifer Coolidge appeared in the first two seasons, and Natasha Rothwell is set to return in season three after appearing in the show’s first season.
Season three is set in Thailand, and features an all-star cast, including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.
The White Lotus’s first season was set in Hawaii and premiered in July 2021. With season three’s release coming in February 2025, it may be another few years before season four is on the screen.
