Taylor Swift was seen leaving for Los Angeles on Wednesday after spending the beginning of the week with her Super Bowl-bound boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The departure made it even more clear: Swift, who has several major Grammy nominations, will be at the 2025 awards show this Sunday.
But will she be onstage? The answer is yes—but not to perform (so far). On January 30, the Recording Academy announced that Swift will be a presenter at the show.
She could also be onstage to give an acceptance speech or two. The singer is up for Record of the Year (“Fortnight” with Post Malone), Album of the Year (The Tortured Poets Department), Song of the Year (“Fortnight” with Jack Antonoff and Post Malone), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Gracie Abrams’s “Us”), Best Pop Vocal Album (The Tortured Poets Department), and Best Music Video (“Fortnight”).
So, is there any chance she could perform as well? The Grammys hasn’t announced all its performers, but Swift was not among the names revealed so far.
These are the confirmed Grammys performers:
- Benson Boone
- Billie Eilish
- Brad Paisley
- Brittany Howard
- Chappell Roan
- Charli XCX
- Coldplay’s Chris Martin
- Cynthia Erivo
- Doechii
- Herbie Hancock
- Jacob Collier
- Janelle Monáe
- John Legend
- Lainey Wilson
- Raye
- Sabrina Carpenter
- Shakira
- Sheryl Crow
- St. Vincent
- Stevie Wonder
- Teddy Swims
Swift will likely attend the show without her partner, as the couple has never done a red carpet together. A Grammys debut is especially unlikely, as Kelce is practicing with the Chiefs for their game against the Philadelphia Eagles at next weekend’s Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Last year, Kelce was also playing in the Super Bowl and couldn’t attend the Grammys with Swift. He expressed his regrets during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show ahead of the 2024 ceremony.
“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for, but I think I got practice on Sunday,” he said. “I know I got practice Saturday, but Sunday is a travel day. Unfortunately I’ve got to get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week.”
