That show aired last night, and Grande’s cover of Elphaba’s “The Wizard and I” is exactly what you’d expect from a vocal powerhouse like Grande: jaw-dropping and emotionally stirring. After filming the performance, Grande wrote on her Instagram story that she was “grateful” to be there. On her own Instagram, she posted a photo of herself with Idina Menzel, the original Elphaba, captioning it, “if y’all told me ab any of this fifteen years ago ……………………… bye. 🖤
