Kylie Jenner wasn’t with boyfriend Timothée Chalamet when he learned he earned his second Best Actor Oscar nomination this morning, Page Six reports. However, she was watching the announcements, a source shared, and she lost it when she saw Chalamet’s name.
The insider said Jenner was “screaming with excitement” over her boyfriend’s milestone. “[She] had a feeling Timothée was going to be nominated but actually seeing his name pop up on the TV screen was incredible,” the source shared. “[She] is ecstatic, and she’s so proud of him. Kylie is absolutely thrilled and can’t wait to see Timothée in person so they can celebrate this special moment in his life.”
Chalamet made history when he was nominated for Best Actor for A Complete Unknown today. He was previously nominated in the category in 2018 for Call Me by Your Name. As Deadline pointed out, Chalamet is 29, making him the youngest actor since James Dean to reach the milestone.
Dean’s Best Oscar nominations were posthumous, following his death at age 24 in 1955. He received a Best Actor nomination in 1956 for East of Eden and for Giant in 1957.
Chalamet is in New York City this week, gearing up to host Saturday Night Live and serve as the show’s musical guest. It’s unclear whether Jenner will attend the taping on Saturday.
Jenner and Chalamet had their last public date night at the 2025 Golden Globes. They are nearing their two-year anniversary, as reports of them dating first broke in spring 2023.
